The Etruscans believed that the realms of divinities were not separated from daily life but, permeated every aspect of existence; every event was considered an expression of the will of the gods.
In 2017 Contemporanea Progetti in collaboration with its partner Expona and in collaboration with Museo Etrusco Guarnacci of Volterra and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Florence celebrated the opening of this very special exhibition that illustrates and investigates one of the singular, but fundamental pillars of the refined and mysterious Etruscan civilization that dominated the Italian peninsula so many centuries ago – a concept of religion that was based on the belief that nature depended on the will of the gods.
