The exhibition was so successfull that saw the launch of a second North American tour in 2022-2023.
The exhibition was conceived and organized in collaboration with the Museo Stibbert of Florence Italy, and draws upon masterpieces from their world-renowned armory collection, dating from the 15th to 18th centuries
and the Romantic Revival of the 19th century.
Mounted knights on horseback, full suits of armor, helmets, corselets, shields, swords and other weaponry are enriched by old master paintings and suggestive graphic panels designed by Contemporanea Progetti.
Not only is the provocative beauty and exquisite artistic craftsmanship of the objects revealed, the iconic figure of the knight often hidden beneath his armor, the battlefield functions and effectiveness of arms and armor and the sport of jousting are among the array of themes investigated and brought to life.
